Pilgrimage

Bild "kiswahili:Uetikohn_Wallfahrt_Priester.jpg"A pilgrimage is a journey or a search of great moral or spiritual significance. Typically, it is a journey to a shrine. Spiritual importance is attached to this particular place: the African Madonna in this case. People are is encouraged to visit the site for their own spiritual benefit: to be healed or have questions answered or to achieve some other spiritual benefit. A person who makes such a journey is called a pilgrim. Often pilgrims go the whole journey or a part on foot (see below).

The ultimate goal of the pilgrimage to our church has always been the African Madonna. It resonates with high religious culture, spirituality, worship and contemplation.
